Sports Career
Gregor Vehovec is a successful former tennis player, accomplished coach, and passionate sports visionary. With decades of experience at the highest levels of competition and event organization, he has built a reputation for excellence, leadership, and innovation in sport.
As a tennis player, Gregor rose to the top of the Yugoslav and Slovenian scene in the 1980s. He became National Doubles Champion alongside Goran Ivanišević, claiming the title in Split and Semifinalist European Championship reached in Blois (France) and competed on the European stage with legends such as Monika Seleš in 1983. He reached multiple National Doubles Champion finals with Grega Breznik in Belgrade (1982) and in Novi Sad (1984).
By 1988, he was ranked #2 in Slovenia, cementing his place among the country’s best.
After his active career, he turned to coaching and mentoring, working with national junior champions and inspiring the next generation of athletes. His ability to transfer knowledge and motivate players made him a trusted and respected coach.
Gregor later expanded his impact beyond the tennis court by bringing his expertise to golf event management. He successfully created tournaments that have grown into major sports gatherings, attracting Olympic medalists, world-class athletes, and hundreds of passionate competitors. His vision is simple yet powerful: to make high-quality sports events accessible, international, and inspiring.
